Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras visits Giza pyramids

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras paid a visit to the Giza pyramids on Tuesday while he was in Cairo for a tripartite summit between Greece, Cyprus and Egypt.

Tsipras was guided by Minister of Antiquities Khaled El-Enany during his visit to the Great Pyramid of Khufu and the Sphinx.

El-Enany also explained the ongoing plateau development project to the Greek premier, and how it aims to faciliate tours around its different monuments.

Mohamed Yehyia Rashed, Egypt's tourism minister, was also in attendance for the visit.
