Directed by Rawan El-Ghaba, the Egyptian version of the well-known musical Moulin Rouge was staged at the Cairo Opera House on 7 and 8 September.

The performance follows the musical's Broadway staging, with costumes and colorful choreography bringing the show to life.

El-Ghaba is a recent graduate of Cairo's Academy of Arts where she studied theatre direction. She is currently continuing her studies in cinema in the United States.
