Souq Al-Selah (Arms Market) Street is narrow, only 220 metres long, and lies in the heart of Islamic Cairo, which flourished from the Mamluk era until the Ottoman era. The street was named after numerous workshops that sold all kinds of weaponry. However, all the Islamic buildings in Souq Al-Selah Street are now neglected.
