Artist Mohamed Fahmy, better known as Ganzeer, has turned the fine arts space of Safarkhan Gallery into a colourful array of painted walls, simulating the Cairo street experience.

Ongoing till 1 November, the exhibition brings the politically driven energy of the street to the exhibition space. Other Cairo artists contribute to the work hanging on the walls of the first floor adjacent, too. Each of their paintings and Fahmy's stands alone but together they contribute to the spread of the "virus". The second floor of the gallery features traditional - yet progressive - framed works.
