Strong rains expected in Egypt: Meteorological Authority

Rain is expected to cover the whole country including Cairo on Thursday and Friday

Egypt is expected to witness "unstable" weather starting Wednesday with cloudy skies and strong rains, chairman of the Meteorological Authority Ahmed Abdel-Aal said on Tuesday.

Rain is expected to cover the whole country including Cairo on Thursday and Friday. Strong showers, thunder and lightning will cover the Red Sea Mountains, Sinai and Upper Egypt.

Temperatures will remain relatively warm, ranging between 25 and 31 degrees across the country's different regions.

The North Coast and North Sinai: 25-27 degrees Celsius.

The Nile Delta and Cairo: 27-28 degrees Celsius.

North of Upper Egypt: 28-29 degrees Celsius.

South of Upper Egypt: 30-33 degrees Celsius.

South Sinai: 30-31 degrees Celsius.
