A group of Egyptian naval and air troops have arrived in Bahrain to take part in the Hamad 3 exercise with Bahraini troops, the Egyptian armed forces have said.

The armed forces said in a statement that the exercise would take place at the Issa Air Base in southern Bahrain.

The exercise includes various activities aim to unify combat concepts and to train the forces on the latest naval and air combat techniques.  

The joint military drill aims to further consolidate strong relations binding the two countries and peoples.
