Egypt, US probe bolstering military cooperation

Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff Mohamed Farid discussed with visiting commander of US Joint Special Operations Command Scott A. Howell several files and issues of common interest in light of military cooperation ties between Cairo and Washington.

The two sides probed fields of joint exercise, the transfer and exchange of military expertise, as well as improving combat capabilities of the Armed Forces in both countries. 

Farid affirmed the strength of military cooperation between the Egyptian and US armies, which he said, helps establish security and stability in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the US commander praised the strong friendship ties between Cairo and Washington, in addition to mutual coordination between the two countries’ Armed Forces.
