Egyptian author and screenwriter Ahmed Mourad will give a talk on his work at the American University in Cairo (AUC) on Monday afternoon.
Mourad’s first novel Vertigo was published in 2007 and has been translated into English, Italian and German. It was also adapted into a television series in 2012.
His second novel, Diamond Dust, was published in 2010, and later adapted into a movie in 2018.
His third novel, Blue Elephant, was the best-selling novel at the Cairo International Book Fair in 2013. A year later, it was shortlisted for the Arabic Booker award in 2014.
The talk will take place at 1pm, at Mary Cross Hall on AUC’s New Cairo Campus.
