Egyptian Spy

Mohamed Bakr Radwan, an Egyptian citizen who was reported to have been arrested by the Syrian authorities for spying for Israel, is not a spy, a senior Syrian diplomatic source told Ahram Online.

The diplomatic source, who preferred anonymity, said the charges against Radwan are not for spying, and that the matter was blown out of proportion by the media.

Radwan, according to the source, is one of a number of non-Syrians, who were arrested for taking pictures and video footage of events in Syria, which are then posted on the internet in ways meant to “distort” what is taking place in the country.

An Egyptian security expert commented, in statements to Ahram Online, saying that the Syrian authorities are currently showing the same kind of “sensitivity” towards anyone using a camera that the Egyptian authorities had shown in the days of the revolution. The aim, he added, is to try and prevent as far as possible the publication of images showing what is taking place inside the country, which might undermine the regime's claims that reports of popular portests are fabrications.

This is very unwise
Taking pictures is not a crime in any country that respects human rights ... What is very concerning is that there are Syrians in Egypt who defend the actions of the Bashar Al-Aasad's regime, And those themselves may be targeted for kidnap in retaliation to violating human rights of Egyptians in Syria ! ... This problem may inflate beyond all proportions and put the Egyptian people in a collision course with the Syrian regime ....

Ad content
Masrawy, good advice. In the meantime, what you can do is click on the ad many times - that costs the people who've paid for the ad!

Regarding you ad content policy!
Just to voice my objection to your ad contents policy, and wondering if you are OK with ads that campaign support for Israel. I was surprised when I found Google ad on this page soliciting support for Israel by a special interest group. I have taken a snapshot of that ad to document its contents and it can be found here http://on.fb.me/fYrBcr If you didn't know that you could control add contents using Google ads settings, I would like to let you know that you CAN. At any rate, I wouldn't be surprised if you ignore this comment.
