For the 12th consecutive year, the Department of Korean Language at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University organised the Conversation Competition in Korean on 26 April.

About 17 Korean language students from the faculty’s Korean Language Department participated in the competition, as well as scholars of Korean at the Korean Cultural Centre in Egypt. Also participating were three students from the UAE, Jordan and Morocco.

In his speech, Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea in Egypt Yoon Yeocheol said that he will continue to support educational institutions to teach the Korean language in Egypt, as well as provide a greater opportunity for Egyptians wishing to learn Korean.

The Korean Conversation Competition is a unique cultural and teaching event for Korean language students in the Middle East and Africa to show off their language skills, encourage students and raise their spirit of competition, as well as share their Korean language learning experiences.

At the end of the competition, the Korean ambassador distributed certificates of recognition and souvenirs to the winners of the first place, all of whom were from Egypt.
