Nouran AbuTaleb

Egyptian singer Nouran AbuTaleb and her ensemble will give a concert at New Cairo's Room Art Space on Tuesday 25 June.

The young and promising talent and her ensemble merge Arabic jazz and pop songs.

"I am waiting for you," AbuTaleb told her fans on her Facebook page.

Nouran will be accompanied by her favourite musicians; Samer George on bass guitar, Mostafa Said on clarinet, and Hani Bedir on percussion.

"They will be revisiting a number of popular Arabic hits, the highlights of the past three decades in Egypt and the Arab World, with a twist of their own," stated Room on the event's page.

AbuTaleb, who's shown signs of success since her late start, began with the German University in Cairo (GUC) music ensemble before shaping her own identity in blending Arabic, jazz and classical music.

Together with George, she recently composed and sang 'Fawazeer', the theme of Alemet Estefham (Question Mark) TV series, which is currently broadcast on various TV channels during the Ramadan season.

Room's new branch, launched last month, is located in The Spot mall in front of AUC gate on 4,370 square metres with indoor and outdoor areas that host live music events and concerts on a daily bases, receiving up to 400 guests per event, and is open from 9am till after midnight.
