Egyptian band Massar Egbari are gearing up for two successive concerts at El-Sawy Culturewheel on 27 and 28 September to close their summer tour.
Massar Egbari, who released their latest "El-Album" in January, featured Ahmed Shiba in their most recent song Enzel W-Sharek (Participate), released in mid-April, encouraging Egyptian voters to participate in the last referendum on the amendments to the Egyptian constitution.
The band was founded in 2005 by members Ayman Massoud (keyboards), Hani El-Dakkak (guitar and lead vocal), Ahmed Hafez (bass guitar) and Tamer Attallah (drums), before Mahmoud Siam (guitar) joined in 2008.
Massar Egbari, as stated in their bio, plays a form of alternative Egyptian music, mixing rock, jazz and blues with some Oriental music. The band is developing regional and international fame.
They performed in several venues in Cairo and Alexandria this summer as well as in Beirut, Amman, and Montreal.
Programme:
Friday 27 September and Saturday 28 September at 7PM
