Ahly football supervisor Alaa Abdel-Sadek said on Monday that the club is treating the Cairo derby against Zamalek as if it were any Egyptian Premier League game, and will not be making any extra preparations for the match.
Ahly are set to face their arch-rivals Zamalek in the 18th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.
"I held a meeting with players ahead of Monday's trainings to speak about the coming game against Zamalek," Abdel-Sadek told reporters after the session.
"I asked the players for their best during the game and asked them to concentrate to achieve a positive result," the Ahly football supervisor concluded.
The 109th Cairo derby is expected to be tough as the Red Devils, who are bidding for their ninth title in a row, are currently fourth in the table with 32 points, eight behind rivals Zamalek who are in the lead.
