Ahly and Zamalek international players headed Tuesday to the United Arab Emirates to join the two teams' current training camps amid preparations for the Egyptian Super Cup match on 10 February.

"Sherif Ekramy, Saad Samir, Ahmed Hegazy, Ahmed Fathi and Abdallah El-Said arrived in Abu Dhabi to join our camp and they all will be available for the training session tonight," Ahly said in a statement via its official website.

Egypt squad arrived in Cairo Monday after losing the African Cup title to Cameroon in the final a day earlier.

"Tarek Hamed and Ali Gabr all arrived in the UAE to join their teammates in the preparations for the Super Cup," Zamalek said on its official site, adding that midfielder Ibrahim Salah will depart Cairo on Wednesday to join the training.

The Super Cup, which was supposed to be the season's curtain raiser but was postponed to February, will take place in the UAE for the second time.

In October 2015, Ahly defeated Zamalek 3-2 to win a record-extending ninth Super Cup title. Zamalek have won the trophy only twice.

Ahly are leading this season's league table with 45 points, 11 ahead of third-place Zamalek who still have two matches ahead of them.
