Future of Huddersfield's injured Ramadan Sobhi with Ahly not decided: agent
Ahly management haven't yet decided the future of Huddersfield's winger Ramadan Sobhi with the Red Devils as his loan deal from the English Premier League side finishes in July, the player's agent announced Sunday.
"Ahly management didn't start negotiations over extending the loan deal of Sobhi," the player's agent, Nader Shawki, told a television programme.
"Ramadan Sobhi is part of Huddersfield's squad and they are the only side to decide the player's future," he added.
"Ramadan's Sobhi loan from Huddersfield to Ahly will be finished 1 July," he said.
The 22-year-old winger Sobhi, who joined Ahly on loan in January, has been a key figure in the Red Devils’ league success this season, scoring a goal and assisting two in 10 appearances.
Sobhi missed Ahly's 1-0 loss to Pyramids FC in the Egyptian Premier League Thursday after sustaining a thigh injury during his team's preparations for the crucial game.
"I reached an agreement with Ahly management that Sobhi will fly to Germany to recover from the injury that sidelined him from the team's previous game," Shawki said.
"Sobhi will fly to Germany on Sunday and will stay there for 10 days," he added.
Ahly are third in the Egyptian Premier League team table with 58 points after playing 26 games, two points behind current leaders Zamalek who share the same points with second place Pyramids FC.
The Cairo giants are preparing to face Masry in the postponed game from week 19 in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.
