Egyptian Premier League giants Ahly flew to Sudan on Thursday ahead of the game against Al-Hilal Omdurman in the final round of the African Champions League group stage games.
"The Ahly crew flew to Sudan on Thursday and the team will launch only one training session at the game's stadium on Friday," the club said in a statement.
"Ahly's football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz and executive manager Samir Adly arrived in Sudan two days ago to prepare the team's camp ahead of the game," the statement added.
The Red Devils boosted their hopes of reaching the last eight of the Champions League after beating Tunisia's Etoile Sahel 1-0 in the 5th round of Group B games late on Sunday.
Ahly are at the top of a tight Group B with 10 points, one ahead of Etoile and Sudanese giants Al-Hilal, with one match remaining in the group phase.
The Cairo giants only need to draw at Al-Hilal's Omdurman fortress in their final match to qualify for the quarter-finals. A win will see them advance as the group leaders regardless of the outcome of the other match between Etoile and Zimbabwe's Platinum.
