EgyptAir is set to begin operating new flights to the Chinese city of Hong Kong on September 17, according to the Chairman of the EgyptAir Holding Company Ahmed Adel.

In a statement on Wednesday, Adel said that his company is always seeking to open up to new markets in the world's major countries, adding that the Far East destinations are viewed as promising markets in the aviation and air transport fields.

The Chairman of EgyptAir, Sherif Ezzat, said that the company will operate two weekly flights on board its Airbus 300-330 aircrafts to Hong Kong on Mondays and Fridays.

Ezzat added that the flights will pass through Bangkok.

EgyptAir will also provide a 25 percent discount to its clients on their first flight from Cairo to Hong Kong, relevant to all classes, until 30 September 2018.
