On Thursday, the Ministry of Antiquities started working on a restoration project of the large wall of Magra El-Eyoon and its surrounding area.

The Head of the Islamic and Coptic antiquities department at the ministry Gamal Moustafa stated the maintenance work was carried out by technical teams from the institute of archaeological crafts, which is affiliated to the ministry.

Encroachments on the large wall of Magra El-Eyoon and its surrounding area have been removed and work is underway to remove the remaining violations in coordination with all bodies concerned, Moustafa added.
