Former ministers, Bibliotheca Alexandrina director visit Grand Egyptian Museum

During the tour, former culture minister Hosny expressed his happiness with the work being achieved at the new museum, which he described as a dream come true

Upon the invitation of Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Enany, former minister of culture Farouk Hosny, former minister of antiquities Zahi Hawass and director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Mostafa El-Fiqi visited the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) today.

Minister El-Enany and Atef Moftah, the supervisor general of the GEM project, received the three guests and took them on a tour of the atrium, the grand staircase, Tutankhamun’s galleries and the hanging obelisk.

During the tour, Hosny expressed his happiness with the work being achieved at the new museum, which he described as a dream come true.

He also expressed his appreciation and respect for President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi for the special care and attention he has shown in following up on the work at the museum, which he said will be Egypt’s gift to humanity.

He also thanked El-Enany, Moftah and all the Egyptians who have worked on the project and the tremendous efforts they are exerting to complete it.
