Essien, Muntari and Boateng out of Ghana's Nations Cup squad
Ahram Online, Wednesday 24 Dec 2014

Ghana coach Avram Grant has named a provisional 31-man squad for the 2015 African Cup of Nations taking place in Equatorial Guinea starting 17 January.

The squad shocked trio Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien and Kevin-Prince Boateng by dropping all three of them due to complications with the Ghana FA after the 2014 World Cup.

The squad also revealed good news for Egyptian club Ismaily as striker John Antwi was also left ouy.

The 22-year old striker has been in a terrific scoring form this season, bagging 11 goals in 13 league appearances for the Dervishes to top the scorers' chart.

Ghana will have a training camp in Spain before flying to Mongomo where they will face Group C opponents Senegal, South Africa and Algeria.
