Egyptian actress Fayza Kamal dies at 52

Actress known for her roles in popular TV series from the 1980s dies after a long bout of liver cancer


The well-known Egyptian actress Fayza Kamal died on Monday at the age of 52 following years of struggle with cancer.

Kamal rose to fame during the 1980s when she starred in the film "The Lost aeroplane" versus Mahmoud Yassin as well as several popular TV series.

One of her most remembered roles was in Raafat El-Hagan, a 1980s epic saga where she played the Israeli mistress of an Egyptian spy, played by Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz .

Kamal was a graduate of the Faculty of Theatrical Arts.
