El-Sisi accepts resignation of Mansour advisers

Advisers to former interim president Adly Mansour resign from their positions

Advisers to former interim president Adly Mansour have had their resignations accepted by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, state television reported.

They are: Judge Ali Awad, presidential adviser for legal affairs; Sakina Fouad, presidential adviser for women’s affairs; Mohamed Rafaat Shehata, presidential adviser for security affairs; Essam Heggy, presidential adviser for scientific affairs; Mostafa Hegazy, presidential adviser for political affairs and Ahmed El-Moslamany, presidential adviser for media affairs.

Ambassador Ehab Badawy, the official spokesperson for the presidency, has not resigned.

Badawy issued a statement expressing the presidency's gratitude to the advisers for their work during the transitional period.
