An administrative court on Tuesday lifted a travel ban on the grandchildren of deposed president Hosni Mubarak.

A travel ban was imposed on Gamal Mubarak's four-year-old daughter Farida and Alaa Mubarak's 11-year-old son Omar in June 2011.

The children's mothers are still under a travel ban, while their fathers are serving four-year sentences for embezzling LE125 million ($17.9 million) of funds earmarked for the renovation of presidential palaces.

They are also being tried on a number of other corruption charges, and are being retried over the killing of around 850 unarmed protesters in 2011. Mubarak is also being retried in the latter case, after receiving an initial sentence of 25 years.

Mubarak was toppled in early 2011 after 18 days of mass protests demanding an end to his 30-year rule, infamous for growing corruption and police brutality.
