The Egyptian football Association sets 29 January as date for the upcoming Cairo derby

The Cairo derby will be played on 29 January behind closed doors at the army-owned Air Defence stadium, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said on Tuesday.

The EFA revealed on Tuesday the dates of the last two rounds of the league's first half, with Ahly facing another tough tie against ENPPI five days following their clash against cross-town rivals Zamalek.

On the other hand, Zamalek will face promoted Nasr on 2 February, four days after the Cairo derby.

Zamalek are leading the league table with 34 points, 11 clear of defending champions and fourth-placed Ahly, who have three matches in hand.
