Actors should 'present works that inspire people with hope and increase awareness', President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi says
During a speech celebrating Police Day, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has called for media and cinema that "increase people’s awareness."
Addressing actor Ahmed El-Sakka and actress Yousra on Tuesday in front of an audience of police officers at an early celebration of Police Day, El-Sisi told them, “You will be held accountable."
He asked them to "deliver works that inspire people and give them hope, with moral values and ethics – values that would not be learned except through the media and drama.
“We expect this in the next Ramadan television series,” he added.
El-Sakka stood in response, promising to respond to the call and fulfill it.
