Russian President Vladimir Putin jetted into Minsk Wednesday for a crunch peace summit with the leaders of Ukraine, Germany and France aimed at ending 10 months of conflict in Ukraine.

Putin touched down in the Belarussian capital ahead of the crucial meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French leader Francois Hollande, an AFP journalist at the scene said.
