Zamalek will open their CAF Confederation Cup campaign against Rwanda's Rayon Sports who reached the competition's round of 32 on Sunday.

Having beaten Cameroon's Panthère du Ndé 2-0 on aggregate in the preliminaries, Rayon Sports qualified for the next round to face Cairo giants Zamalek.

Zamalek is competing in the Confederation Cup directly from the round of 32 as Egypt's Cup winners.

With the domestic league currently on hold following last month's Air Defence Stadium disaster, which saw 20 Zamalek fans killed after being pelted by teargas from security forces, the Whites currently prepare for their African campaign by staging a number of friendlies.

Zamalek, who will be training in Gouna on 10 March, will host the round of 32 first leg against Rayon Sports three days later in the Red Sea resort.
