Mohamed Salah's scoring run stops Monday as Fiorentina dealt heavy 4-0 loss at Lazio in Italy's Serie A

After scoring six goals in seven appearances, Fiorentina winger Mohamed Salah failed to impress during his side's Serie A 4-0 loss at Lazio on Monday, with the Egypt ace presence hardly felt throughout the game.

Miroslav Klose scored twice helping Lazio to made a big statement in the battle for Serie A's final Champions League spot.

Lucas Biglia opened the scoring with a long volleyed shot six minutes in at the Stadio Olimpico and Antonio Candreva added a penalty in the 65th before Klose scored two more.

First Klose finished off a counterattack by heading in a rebound then he scored from close-range.

Lazio moved level third with Napoli, while Fiorentina remained fifth, four points behind the Champions League spot.

It was Lazio's fourth consecutive win, while Fiorentina's unbeaten run in all competitions ended at 15 matches.

Later, three-time defending champion Juventus had a chance to extend its lead over Roma to 11 points when it hosted Sassuolo.
