Club Africain clinched their first Tunisian League title in seven years following their 2-1 win over Zarzis on the final day of the competition on Tuesday.
The Tunisian giants claimed their 11th league title after ending the competition with 65 points, two ahead of second-placed Etoile Sportive du Sahel.
Striker Saber Khalifa converted a penalty eight minutes from time as his side were held to 1-1 draw by hosts Zarzis, giving the club a timely morale boost ahead of a crucial clash against Ahly in the second leg of the Confederation Cup round of 16.
Club Africain will be looking to overturn a 2-1 first-leg deficit when they host Ahly on 7 June as both sides vie for a place in the group stage of Africa's secondary club competition.
