Al-Ain's Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan is said to be nearing a move to Chinese side Shanghai SIPG, French newspaper l'Equipe reported on Monday.
The Chinese outfit made a €20 million bid for the Ghanaian international and according to the French newspaper the UEA side accepted the deal.
The striker, who has two years remaining on his contract, has been a major success for Al-Ain since joining the club initially on loan from Sunderland in 2011 before making the move permanent a year later.
He topped the league scorer's list for three consecutive seasons. Last year saw him sidelined several times due to injury.
The Chinese side is managed by former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson
