Cairo metro train hits two people

The Cairo metro service on the Giza line was suspended for ten minutes on Wednesday morning after two people were hit by a train at Cairo University Station.

Yasmine Ramadan, a 20-year-old student who fell onto the track, and a man who tried to rescue her, were injured.

They were taken to Qasr El-Aini and Bulaq El-Dakrour hospitals, health ministry spokesperson Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar said.

Abdel-Ghaffar added that he was still waiting for a detailed report on their injuries.
