El-Azbakia Police Station was not set on fire as ‎reported yesterday by Ahram Online.

Ahram Online reported, based on wire dispatches, that the station was set ablaze when some 200 people tried to penetrate it in ‎the wake of a man’s death after a fight with a police officer.‎

Well-informed sources, as well as eyewitnesses confirmed that the police station was attacked and one molotov cocktail was thrown, but that the station was not set ablaze.

A police car, however, was confirmed to have been set alight.‎
