An Egypt Super Cup match will be played on 15 October while the premier league will kick off on 17 or 18 October
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on Monday that the next season will kick off on 15 October with an Egypt Super Cup match.
The association board also decided that the Egyptian Premier League season will kick off on 17 or 18 October.
The EFA announced on Sunday that the Egypt Cup final will be played on 21 September with the semi-finals held on 16 and 17 September, ten days earlier than previously scheduled.
Zamalek won the most recent season of the league, breaking an 11-year draught.
Arch-rivals Ahly dominated the competition in the last decade, winning eight-successive domestic titles. The two other seasons were cancelled due to security reasons.
