Proverb of the day: One house is to be rented, another house is to be bought بيت ينكري وبيت ينشرى
بيت ينكري وبيت ينشرى
Beit yenkara we beit yenshara
Translation: One house is to be rented, another house is to be bought.
Meaning: If you like a house for its convenience, you can rent it. But if you like it because it is really wonderful, then you buy it. This saying, now extinct, is not about houses. It is about love, businesses, careers, etc. If you really love something, give it all you’ve got. But if it is just convenient for the moment, keep your distance, and get a short lease.
