Defence lawyers have gained access to Egypt-Israeli gas contracts and Mubarak investigation documents in the meantime

The Criminal Court of Cairo ruled to postpone until 10 September the trial of officials accused of corrupt dealings in gas exports to Israel, due to procedural considerations.

The court has permitted the defence lawyers access to reports of investigations of former president Hosni Mubarak around the issue of Israel gas exports. Defence has also been authorized by the court to translate all contracts between Egyptian and Israeli authorities pertaining to gas exports.

The main parties involved in the case are former petrol minister Sameh Fahmy and escaped businessman Hussein Salem.
