Isaad Younis criticized pirating issues its effect on Egypt's film industry in a conference in Geneva
The Egyptian actress and producer Isaad Younis said that the youth of the revolution can save the film industry in a conference in Geneva on protecting cinema in Egypt that took place this week.
Younis, who has been concerned with pirating issues, said the problem can only be solved through strict laws and a culture that condemns stealing intellectual property. According to her, Egyptian cinema loses more through piracy than it is able to make in profits.
She said that what is needed now is a social contract that respects arts and its capital. Without popular support, said Younis, the industry risks collapse.
