Owing to its first success, Darb 1718 hosts for the second time the Italian musician Claudio Curciotti on 6 March in Hands on Synaesthesia Art Performance.

According to a press release by Darb 1718 the audience will experience a multi-sensory journey with music, videos and odours.

By simultaneously stimulating multiple senses, Claudio tells stories of a long journey through India, Nepal, Egypt, Italy and France where he encountered other cultures and religions, unknown people, traditions, and lifestyles along with different sounds, colours, and smells.

"The performance is inspired by artistic practices of the past century, where visual music, abstract film and intermedia art were creating relation between different senses stimuli in one gestalt experience," the press release stated.

Claudio Curciotti, originally from Rome, is a multimedia artist, whose expertise ranges from sound design and engineering to electronic music and video art.

He is currently based in Cairo, where he collaborates with contemporary dance choreographers, continues his field recordings, and enhances his video-art practice. His recent production experiments with traditional music will be presented for the second time in Cairo at Darb 1718 after a successful performance on 31 January.
