French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Tuesday he "is not afraid" his Socialist government will lose a parliamentary confidence motion, called after the executive rammed through a labour reform bill that has sparked massive street protests.
"If there are deputies on the left who wish to vote for the right's censure motion they can do so," he said on TFI television of the vote which will take place on Thursday.
"But what a contradiction!" he added, arguing that such a move would jeopardise the social model which the government has put in place.
