Tomato prices went down, sugar and flour went up in November

In November, the price of tomatoes shrank, while prices of sugar and flour rose. The price of grains, beans, local and imported meat, frozen fish and milk products remained stable


Tomato prices declined in November, while the costs of sugar and flour increased, according to Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The average price of tomatoes declined by 41.7 per cent, reaching LE3 per kilo. Their price in October was LE5.15.

Undergoing an opposite trend, flour prices climbed to LE2.95 per kilo in November, compared to LE2.7 in the previous month, an increase of 6.9 per cent.

The prices of also sugar rose to LE5.01 per kilo, up by of 5.3 per cent compared to the last month.

Meanwhile, the prices of grains, beans, local and imported meat, frozen fish and milk products remained stable.
