Youssef Boutros-Ghali and wife named in corruption suspect list

Egypt's former finance minister has assets and real estate properties frozen as investigations continue into corruption of members of the Mubarak regime


The head of the Investigations Authority at the Ministry of Justice, Judge Ahmed Edris, has named Youssef Boutros-Ghali, former finance minister, and his wife Michelle Khalil, as persons of interest, ruling that they be prevented from acting on their wealth and real estate, after being accused of seizing four feddens at Lake Karun in Fayoum governorate, reported the MENA state news agency.
