South Africa's Sundowns defeat Enyimba to go level with Zamalek
Ahram Online , Wednesday 29 Jun 2016

South Africa's Memlodi Sundowns went level with Zamalek on top of a reduced Group B in the African Champions League after claiming a 2-1 home victory over Nigerian side Enyimba on Wednesday.

Leonardo Castro put the hosts in front three minutes before the break but Moses Ojo brought Enyimba level on 59 minutes.

Wayne Arendse struck with 12 minutes remaining to help Sundowns claim their first three points after their opening victory over ES Setif was annulled following the Algerian side's disqualification from Africa's premier club competition over crowd riots.

Sundowns are joint leaders with Egypt's Zamalek, who claimed a 1-0 victory away to Enyimba on waterlogged pitch earlier this month.

Zamalek and Sundowns meet in Cairo in their next Group B game next month.
