Stoke beat off competition from Italian side Udinese to buy Sobhi, who will land in the UK soon

Ahly’s talented youngster Ramadan Sobhi said his anticipated move to English Premier League side Stoke City is his gate to a bigger European club, explaining it was a hard offer to reject.

"Stoke City was keen to get me and agreed on all the conditions Ahly demanded. Nobody guarantees the future. The offer is good and I accepted it," Sobhi told reporters on Tuesday morning.

The English Premier League side have reportedly tabled an improved 6 million euros offer to land the 19-year-old, leaving the Red Devils with little manoeuvring options despite their desire to keep hold of the Egyptian international.

"This is my opportunity to show my talents abroad and to move to bigger European clubs so I will work hard to deliver my best performance and prove my worth," Sobhi added.

On Monday, Egyptian champions Ahly confirmed that they had accepted Stoke City's offer for their highly rated youngster Sobhi and announced that he will be flying to England for the trail within two days.

Stoke beat off competition from Italian side Udinese to lure Sobhi, who came through the youth ranks of Ahly and has quickly become a fan darling.

He has scored five league goals and created eight others as Ahly claimed their ninth league title in 10 seasons, tormenting defenders with his neat footwork and impressive ability to skip past challengers in one-on-one situations.

Sobhi was also instrumental in Egypt's qualification for next year's African Cup of Nations finals for the first time since 2010.

Sobhi, who headed to the UK embassy Sunday for visa procedures, has been dropped of the team's squad against Wydad Casablanca of Morocco, with the home and away games scheduled for 16 and 27 July.

The team will play Tuesday in Egypt Cup round 16 match against Haras El-Hodoud.
