Egypt’s stocks closed out the trading week up slightly on Thursday with Arab investors remaining the only net buyers.
Benchmark index EGX30 rose 0.31 percent to register 7,583 points in a trading session for which a daily turnover listed securities as reaching some EGP 613.2 million.
Out of 170 listed stocks, 74 saw gains while 45 declined.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank shed a mild 0.07 percent to close at EGP 42.71 per share, which drove down the banking sector.
Telecom Egypt, Thursday's most traded stock, along with Global Telecom rose 0.77 percent and 2.39 percent to close at EGP 9.14 and EGP 3.86 per share respectively.
Real estate developer Talaat Moustafa Group rose 0.54 percent to close at EGP 5.60 per share.
Egypt’s leading listed investment bank EFG Hermes finished up 0.50 percent at EGP 12.03 per share.
The broader index EGX70 inched downwards 0.49 percent.
