There's a "secret" agreement between the United States and Israel on the continued expansion of Israeli colonies, leaked US cables published on the WikiLeaks website stated.

The cables mentioned a "secret agreement" between Tel Aviv and Washington on the constant so called "natural growth" of Israeli colonies as reported by Al Jazeera.

The cables, which came from the US embassy in Paris, added that the Israeli Minister of Defence Ehud Barak informed a French official of the concurrence as it conflicts with the public US stance calling for a freeze on settlement building.
