Darb 1718’s nights of Mazzika x El Sat7 will present Sorour Project on 17 August.
Sorour Project began as an acoustic fusion band, merging folk with flamenco, blues and jazz, and then later developed it to incorporate electronic music, rock and funk.
The project is comprised of Alexandrian musicians including founding member and vocalist Mohamed Sorour, Mostafa El-Attar on violin, Mohamed Magdy on lead guitar, Mohamed El-Sayed on the keyboard, Moamen Hassan on bass, Gomaa on percussion and Abdel-Razzeq on the drums, according to the group's Facebook page.
They released a single, Horoob (Escape), in July 2015 on their Soundcloud account from their hard rock and Sufi fusion EP titled Nabi Daniel.
Mazzika x El-Sat7 is a series of concerts performed on the roof of Darb 1718.
