The fair hosts 140 international galleries and has announced Africa as its guest of honour this year

Works from seven seminal Egyptian artists will be presented at Art Paris Art Fair's upcoming edition scheduled to take place in March 2017.

The featured artists include three painters -- Hamed Abdullah (1917-1985), Hamed Nada (1924 – 1990) and Georges Sabbagh (1877–1951) – while the four other seasoned artists include sculptor Adam Henein (b.1929), photographer Youssef Nabil (b.1972), and painter Gazbia Sirry (b.1925), and the written word installation artist Fathi Hassan (b. 1957).

Running between 30 March to 2 April, the annual Art Paris Art Fair is a springtime art fair focusing on discovery. Art Paris Art Fair brings together 140 galleries from some 20 countries at the Grand Palais.

This year Africa is the fair's guest of honour and will be curated by independent cultural consultant and exhibition curator Marie-Ann Yemsi.

Bringing galleries from Africa and African artists from around the world, in addition to a symposium, a programme of video projections and special projects, the fair hopes to present African artwork in depth, highlighting the richness and diversity of contemporary works from the continent.

Also from the Middle East are galleries from Bahrain, Syria, Morocco, Iran and Algeria, as well as Lebanon's Gallery Tanit participating in the fair's Solo Show platform.
