Ahly will be searching for their fifth straight league win against Aswan

A high-flying Ahly side will be looking to continue their 100 percent league record when they host minnows Aswan at Cairo's Petrosport Stadium on Thursday.

Four victories over bitter rivals Ismaily, Arab Contractors, Wadi Degla and Dakhleya took Ahly to second spot of the league table, level on 12 points with leaders Smouha who have a better goal difference.

Defending champions Ahly have an easy mission against Aswan, who are currently 13th in the league table on three points with a single opening 2-0 win over Dakhelya.

Ahly welcome back Egypt center-back Ahmed Hegazy after being ruled out of action since the start of the season through injury.

Defense partner Rami Rabia, however, continues to miss out due to a knee problem, while Tunisia left-back Ali Maaloul has also been omitted due to a groin injury.

New-signing Mido Gaber has been left out by manager Hossam El-Badry for technical reasons, alongside veteran striker Emad Meteb, right-backs Bassem Ali and Mohamed Hani.

After taking on Aswan, Ahly will be visiting fifth-placed Petrojet on Tuesday.
