Zamalek's Portuguese coach Augusto Inacio has praised the performance of his team's players after their 2-1 win over Wadi Degla on the 29th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday, saying the team now are on the right track to achieve their goals.
The Cairo giants secured their third consecutive victory under Portuguese manager Augusto Inacio Thursday at Cairo's Petrosport Stadium.
"We still have a long road to achieve our target, but we've reached a good position as the team now have 20 players ready to play," Inacio said at the post-game press conference.
"I found that some of Zamalek's players have not had a break for three years, so I decided to handle it myself; today I rested six players and the next game there are others who will get a break," he added.
Zamalek, who had virtually lost hope of a second-place finish, are currently third on 54 points, four ahead of fourth-placed Masry who have played a game fewer.
