Medical doctors manning the field hospitals in Tahrir Square, overwhelmed by the numbers of injured which they say are rising beyond their capacity to cope, have issued an urgent appeal for support. The appeal issued via the social networks, Twitter and Facebook, called upon fellow "honourable doctors of all specialisations to head to head for the square, due to the great number and types of injuries." Activists have been retweeting the appeal.
