Coptic Orthodox churches ring bells in solidarity with North Sinai mosque attack victims

President El-Sisi has given orders to the Egyptian armed forces to build a memorial at Al-Rawdah village in North Sinai to commemorate the victims of Friday's terrorist attack


Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Church announced Saturday that all its churches across the country rang bells at 12pm Cairo local time in solidarity with the victims of the North Sinai mosque attack,Egypt state news agency MENA reported.

According to the statement, all members of the Orthodox Church, headed by Pope Tawadros II, offer their condolences to the families of the victims as well their hopes for the speedy recovery of the injured.

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi gave orders to the Egyptian armed forces to build a memorial at Al-Rawdah village in North Sinai governorate to commemorate the victims of the terrorist attack.

At least 305 people were killed and 128 others injured Friday afternoon in one of Egypt's deadliest terrorist attacks.
